Reports To

Executive, Station Operations

Role Purpose

To provide courteous and efficient service to passenger at ticketing / check in counter, at departure gate (passenger handling) handling of mishandle baggage and cargo acceptance/clearance

Key Accountability

• To check in passenger and their check-in baggage into the correct flight and destination. To update passengers nationality in system as well as update passenger passport/visa for countries that require them. To check and ensure that passenger is having correct and valid documents for their journey. To ensure passengers compliance with the 4 mandatory security questions. To ensure the check-in baggage are scanned by the Airport Authority. To collect and issue Excess Baggage Ticket when passenger travel with excess baggage
• To obtain clearance for boarding and make announcement as per MW boarding announcement texts. To attend to special cases on arrival and departure flights. To ensure bona fide passenger board the correct flights. To ensure oversize baggage are retrieved and store into the cargo hold. To lead arriving and departing passenger to the correct arrival hall and aircraft. To ensure passenger safety at RAMP
• To provide courteous and efficient service to passengers whose baggage are mishandled/ damaged. To attend to passengers reporting baggage missing/pilferage/damaged at the baggage service counter. To missing cases. To send primary tracers for missing cases. To send secondary tracer if baggage still not located after primary tracer. To make arrangement for damaged baggage to be repaired. To arrange for delivery of mishandled baggage
• To ensure that all joining cargo/mails are scanned by Aviation Security or manually check by acceptance staff. To ensure that all cargo/mails are properly packed. To issue Airway Bill (AWB) for cargo acceptance. Ensure all acceptance cargo for said flight are manifested. To ensure correct Cargo weight is reflected on the cargo manifest. To ensure release of cargo are acknowledge receipt by consignee. To ensure all incoming cargo / mails must be clear daily. To ensure acceptance and clearance of cargo is as per company requirement and regulatory requirement
• To compile weight and balance document for aircraft and ensuring that the Safety of the aircraft is always within the allowed weight and trim. To calculate zero fuel weight (ZFW) for respective flight. To plan loading instruction and ensuring that aircraft trim is within the allowed limit as per weight and balance manual. To compile flight documents consisting of load sheet, loading plan, fuel chit, NOTOC, cargo and passenger manifest where applicable and filed in respective file. To advise on offloading of deadload in the event that the aircraft is overweight/space constraint

Qualification & Experience

SPM with 3 years working experience in all aspect of Airport Operations (Ground Operations)

Skills & Knowledge

• Pleasant with good interpersonal and communications skill
• Good knowledge of computer applications
• Committed and good leadership qualities
• Fluent and proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English
