AC KL is envisioned to be a truly cross-functional operation with capabilities across Consulting, Trust, Tax and Business Services. Our ACs play an essential and strategic part of the firm\xe2\x80\x99s business multi-geography Global Delivery Model, and are a dynamic, rapidly growing component of our business.The AC Ethics & Compliance (E&C) Leader is the local ethics and compliance program leader for the PwC Acceleration Center in Kuala Lumpur (AC KL), Malaysia and works closely with both US E&C and AC leadership to develop, execute, and sustain an AC-specific strategy for ethics, compliance, and related risk issues, and incorporates the same into the AC business\' strategic priorities.This role supports AC KL and US E&C leadership in advancing and fostering integrity-based decision making and conduct by PwC partners and staff throughout the AC KL organization, promotes and monitors compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and firm policies, and procedures, and thereby helps manage PwC\'s regulatory, litigation, ethics, compliance and reputational risk.This role works closely with AC KL leadership and collaborates with PwC US centralized and local functions, including E&C, Finance, Human Capital (HC), Office of the General Counsel (OGC), Procurement, Risk & Quality (R&Q), and IT. The Leader is responsible for keeping the local management team and the US E&C function apprised of ongoing initiatives on a regular basis.Responsibilities include:Working with centralized functions in the US and across the AC network and local leadership to lead effective ethics and compliance programs for AC KL, including programs like anticorruption, privacy/information protection, and investigations.Providing guidance and advice to leaders regarding local and emerging ethical and compliance risks.Developing and continuously enhancing the ethics and compliance programs, policies, controls, and processes including implementing enhancements and supporting centralized E&C initiatives and addressing local regulatory requirements.Promoting awareness of ethics and compliance by developing and issuing communications and conducting in-person ethics and compliance training (e.g., onboarding training, annual ethics training).Handling ethics and compliance related inquiries and consultations.Receiving and acting on reported concerns of possible policy violations, including conducting prompt, objective and effective internal investigations.Monitoring AC KL\xe2\x80\x99s ethics and compliance programs by conducting risk assessments, ongoing monitoring, testing and reporting.Managing and coaching local ethics and compliance staff and liaisons, including day-to-day management of AC KL\xe2\x80\x99s ethics and compliance programs, and supporting the US E ethics and compliance programs area leads in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to advance AC KL\xe2\x80\x99s ethics and compliance programs.Monitoring and escalating local ethics and compliance regulatory changes and industry-leading practices which may impact AC KL\xe2\x80\x99s policies, controls, and processes.Modeling and championing the firm\xe2\x80\x99s values and robust ethical culture through leading by example.Building relationships with key stakeholders and teams across the PwC network, and actively collaborating to share best practices, lessons learned and subject matter knowledge to increase awareness and understanding.Leading and/or participating in calls with points of contact in different time zones, requiring meetings outside standard business hours.Knowledge Preferred:Demonstrates proven intimate knowledge of, and/or success in managerial roles involving, managing ethics, compliance, governance, and/or risk management programs, preferably for operations of a multinational or US based company, emphasizing understanding of the following areas:Knowledge and application of both Malaysia and US laws that govern international business;Experience with an ethics and compliance program, including policies, controls and processes, and related technologies;Investigations management, especially providing prompt, confidential and objective responses to questions, issues, and/or concerns with unquestioned integrity, impartiality, and sensitivity;Experience in one or more of the significant areas of ethics and compliance risk, including anti-corruption, anti-money laundering, antitrust, insider trading, privacy/information protection, conflicts of interest, independence, harassment, discrimination, and whistleblowing;Development, design or re-design of policies and guidance, as needed, through developed subject matter knowledge and/or leveraging knowledge of other subject matter specialists, as needed, andUtilization of a global mindset and cultural dexterity in the workplace to manage through every day, ad hoc, and at-need issues management and/or escalations.Skills Preferred:Demonstrates proven abilities in managing ethics, compliance, governance, and/or risk management programs and operations within a multinational or US-based company, emphasizing analytical, project management, and research skills through the use of firm-issued technologies (e.g. Microsoft Office\xe2\x80\x94Word, Excel PowerPoint, SharePoint):Serving as a subject matter specialist in the development, interpretation, and maintenance of policies and practices through everyday business consultations and/or collaborations with key internal ethics and compliance stakeholders;Performing work and collaborating in multi-cultural, multi-lingual, diverse and inclusive environments;Communicating effectively\xe2\x80\x94verbally and in writing\xe2\x80\x94with local leadership, partners and staff, peer co-workers, subject matter specialists, emphasizing the development of clear, concise, well-written documents and presentations;Leading, coordinating, implementing follow-up, and documenting assigned activities thoroughly and in a timely manner;Developing management reporting, including ad hoc reports in response to the needs of the business, local leadership, and PwC US E&C leadership;Managing projects to timely completion with high-quality deliverables;Functioning as an effective leader in both a team environment and independently;Handling conflicts with professionalism and respect while working under pressure; and,Managing multiple projects proactively, with emphasis on organization and prioritization of deliverables and business needs.Conducting effective training and leading group/town hall meetings with confidence and passion.Prior experience in ethics, compliance, governance,
