Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, including account reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Proven ability to ensure tax compliance and manage auditing processes.
• Proficiency in budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Excellent data analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Fluency in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Manage full sets of accounts, ensuring accurate and timely monthly closing.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, providing insightful commentary on variances.
• Oversee account reconciliation processes, resolving discrepancies and ensuring the integrity of financial data.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory reporting requirements, including SST, corporate tax, and income tax.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Develop and manage budgets, monitor performance against budget, and provide variance analysis to management.
• Conduct data analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for financial improvement, presenting findings to senior management.
• Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
• Maintain fixed asset register and ensure accurate depreciation calculations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the reliability of financial reporting.
