About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Account Assistant to support our Finance team in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, strong organizational skills, and a proactive approach to meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable:

Process supplier invoices and employee expense claims accurately and on time. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies. Prepare and schedule payments via check, EFT, or online banking. Maintain AP aging reports and ensure timely settlement of payables.

Accounts Receivable:

Generate customer invoices and ensure timely collections. Post receipts and reconcile AR balances. Follow up with clients on overdue accounts and maintain collection records. Prepare aging reports and assist in cash flow forecasting.

General Accounting Support:

Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities. Maintain accurate and organized financial records. Support external and internal audit processes. Perform other administrative and accounting tasks as required.

Qualifications & Skills

Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least 1 year of experience in accounting, preferably in both AP and AR. Strong Excel and data entry skills with high attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
