  • Integrated marketing communications (IMC): Define and drive the overall communications strategy by seamlessly integrating paid, owned, and earned media. Lead the development of innovative campaigns that leverage both traditional PR and cutting-edge digital approaches, ensuring every initiative aligns with and advances our clients' overarching business objectives.
  • Media relations: Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with top-tier media, analysts, and influencers, positioning our clients as industry thought leaders. Oversee the creation of compelling media strategies and story angles that command attention, and manage high-profile media engagements including briefings, roundtables, and interviews.
  • Content creation: Set the standard for content excellence by guiding the development of key communications materials-from press releases and Q&A documents to comprehensive strategic plans-in English, Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia. Ensure all content is not only accurate and consistent but also creatively compelling, resonating with diverse audiences while mentoring your team to continuously refine their craft.
  • Market intelligence and reporting: Lead comprehensive market analysis initiatives, monitoring industry trends, competitive landscapes, and campaign performance metrics. Deliver strategic insights and actionable reports that inform decision-making and help shape the future direction of our communications programs.
  • Client relations: Serve as the primary strategic advisor and trusted partner for our clients, engaging directly with C-level executives and senior management to align communications strategies with key business goals. Oversee the development and execution of high-impact programs that deliver measurable results, ensuring a consistently high standard of service and client satisfaction.
  • Account management: Direct the overall management of multiple high-profile accounts, ensuring optimal resource allocation, budget oversight, and seamless execution across all projects. Collaborate with senior leadership to refine processes, drive operational excellence, and maximize account profitability while maintaining hands-on involvement in key strategic initiatives.
  • New business: Spearhead business development efforts by leading the creation of compelling RFPs, pitch decks, and strategic presentations that showcase our innovative approach. Identify and secure new opportunities in the tech communications space, expanding our client roster and solidifying our market leadership..
  • Mentorship/training: Champion a culture of continuous learning and professional growth by mentoring emerging leaders and providing strategic guidance through initiatives like xe2x80x9clunch bucketxe2x80x9d presentations and structured training sessions. Set the tone for excellence across the organization by fostering collaboration, sharing best practices, and ensuring the effective utilization of global and satellite resources.

The Hero's Background: Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, PR/Advertising, Marketing/Integrated Communications, Journalism, Linguistics or other relevant degrees
  • Have a minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience (agency experience is preferred)
  • Excellent media relations, project management skills and high standards in client servicing
  • Interested in working with technology-related portfolio, fintech, corporate
  • Interested in learning the ropes of business operations and building a team
  • Superior writing and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in another language, such as Chinese, would be an advantage
