• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, accompanied by at least 2 to 3 years of professional experience in accounting, preferably within the construction sector.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Accounting Software (InfoTech or other equivalent) added as an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Proficient in financial analysis, reporting, and problem-solving, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Capable of working independently, highly organised, and a self-starter.
• Able to work in a team
• Knowledge of e-invoicing is an added advantage.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Malay
• To comply 45 hours/week (6 days working/week)
• Expected start date: ASAP (April to May 2025)

Responsibilities

• Able to handle full sets of accounts including preparation.
• Reconcile financial statements and prepare to send and store invoices.
• Year-end audit preparation.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts receivable, payable, and general ledger.
• Prepare monthly financial, income and cash flow statements accordingly.
• Reconcile bank accounts and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
• Collaborate with the external accountant for the annual tax submission.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting and tax regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Work closely with other departments, such as procurement, operations, human resources, and store to manage budgets and costs.
• Any other duties assigned by the superior.
• Report directly to the Management.
