Requirements

  • Possess a Secondary/SPM/'O' Level certification.
  • Required skills: Account Management, Account Payable, Accounts Receivable, Accounting
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in account management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Proficiency in managing account reconciliation and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Experience in the retail or distribution industry, particularly with office equipment (photocopiers and plotters), is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Malaysian tax regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
  • Willingness to work onsite at the Melaka location.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate accounts payable records, including processing invoices, verifying approvals, and ensuring timely payments to vendors.
  • Handle accounts receivable functions, such as generating invoices, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts to minimize outstanding balances.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial transactions and resolve any discrepancies between bank statements and company records.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and assisting with audit preparations.
  • Maintain fixed asset records, including tracking acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including filing, data entry, and other clerical tasks as needed.
