This position will be located at Kuala Lumpur Sentral (Menara 1 Sentral) and it is easy to get to by public transportation as it is located at the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Purpose

The Account Manager has the overall responsibility to drive improvement and execution of Wilhelmsen Vessel Accounting (WVA) transformation projects and finance operation.

He/she is jointly responsible for timely, accurate and quality accounting deliveries and reporting for the vessels.

Interrelations

Reporting to Head of Vessel Accounting and closely working with members of group and corporate accounting. Also having liaison with management centers, and internal/external stakeholders.

Main responsibilities and tasks

Responsible for the overall sustainability of WVA mission, timely, accurate and quality financial management.

Deliverables to vessel owners in accordance with appropriate accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Ensure completion of month end close activities, checklist and financial reporting package to vessel owners.

Lead improvement in efficiency and effectiveness in processes, KPIs, and Annual Operating Plans.

Implement, develop and promulgate improvement to processes, procedures and application systems for WVA.

Effective communication on changes and actively seek continuous improvement in work processes.

Accountabilities

Achieve KPI target and initiatives of Annual Operating Plan.

Implement identified projects

Accurate and timeliness of monthly reports and budget follow up report

Ensure that vessel owners and management centers receive prompt reply to queries

Qualifications

Mandatory requirements

Degree in accounting and/or finance or equivalent in professional accounting body

Experienced in finance or accounting shared services handling large teams

Minimum 8 years working experience in a related field and having experiences in General Ledger and Audit

Strong project management experiences in implementation, initiation, change management, jobs transition and transformation.

Experience in MNC

Have experience in deploying best practices.

Effective communication at all levels.
