Take your place on our strong team and help us make meaningful contributions to the world! We are recruiting for Account Manager to handle microbiology business in Malaysia. In this role, you will be part of a team who deliver expertise in Microbiology, from the gold standard in culture media that laboratories have relied on for decades, to the groundbreaking innovations of tomorrow, to supply chain optimization, we want to help laboratories work smarter by enabling microbiologists to focus on what truly matters with timely accurate diagnostics. This is a target based sales role with assigned territory whereby you will lead the relationship with key opinion leaders of your territory promoting our innovative value proposition to the Microbiologist. Key Responsibilities:
  • Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales target on quarterly and yearly basis, within assigned expense guidelines and territory
  • Timely submission of forecasts, weekly reports, monthly highlights and other related reports for defined territory to Sales Manager
  • Utilise SFDC sales tools, organize and accurately forecast territory results, provide market intelligence, implement value selling and meet sales objectives
  • Prospect and establish new opportunities by managing a sales pipeline and developing and delivering proposals to customers by illustrating Thermo Fisher\xe2\x80\x99s value proposition.
  • Maintain accurate and current records of proposals, opportunities, accounts, contacts, leads and actions
  • Regular and proactive updating of management on any new developments in the marketplace for example: competitor behaviors, product issues, customer changes, wins or potential misses
  • Call on all organizational levels and functional areas, using Strategic Selling techniques within assigned account which influence purchasing decisions.
  • Cultivate KOL (Key Opinion Leader) management within the microbiologist network, laboratory manager and medical technologist in clinical sector for products conversion, new products and to establish reference site.
  • Build and sustain relationships with customers and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Leverage available resources to effectively implement company marketing plan, strategies and sales processes.
  • Share standard processes and effective business strategies with team, management and peers.
  • Optimally plan, implement and measure with efficiency for strong performance.
  • Maintain a high degree of knowledge of company products and policies.
  • Coordinate any training requirement for the team with marketing and technical support.
  • Work closely with Technical Support Specialist to drive microbiology education & training programs in their accounts.
  • Be an advocate for Thermo Fisher Scientific and our 4i\xe2\x80\x99s. Take all opportunities for cross selling and business development opportunities for other divisions.
. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor Degree in Microbiology, Biomedical Science,Pathology, Biotechnology or related fields.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant sales experience with good knowledge of microbiology products in clinical industry.
  • Ability to identify new target accounts each year and be able to develop and implement territory plans.
  • Demonstrate Thermo Fisher Scientific values \xe2\x80\x93 Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.
  • Ideally some lab experience in a relevant area.
  • Commercially aware, highly motivated and target driven.
  • Customer orientated and able to drive activities that improve customer satisfaction.
  • Organized, able to work independently and in teams.
  • Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in SAP and SFDC CRM will be a plus.
  • Assigned clinical accounts: Northern region, Kelantan, Pahang and Klang Valley.
  • This role requires extensive travel to the assigned territories and 20% travel to overseas for training and meetings as and when needed.

  • Successful sales record
  • Capable of leading major and complex accounts
  • Excellent inter-personal communication skills and presentation skills
