Position Summary: This is a target-based sales role within a specified territory whereby you will be responsible for the relationship between the Microbiology Business Division and assigned local accounts within clinical, food and pharmaceutical segments promoting the Microbiology Division\'s value proposition to customers, advancing Microbiology testing through innovation.. This role requires extensive travel to the assigned territories and 20% travel to overseas for training and meetings as and when needed. Assigned territories: Industrial (Peninsular) & Clinical (Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Johor) segments. Key Responsibilities: Consistently achieve or exceed assigned sales target on quarterly and yearly basis, within assigned expense guidelines and territories. Timely submission of forecasts, weekly reports, monthly highlights and other related reports for defined territory to Commercial Manager. Ability to use sales tools, organize and accurately forecast territory results, provide market intelligence, implement value selling and meet sales objectives. Maintain accurate and current records of proposals, opportunities, accounts, contacts, leads and actions. Use SalesForce Dot Com (SFDC) CRM as the primary reporting tool. Sell new products by establishing key customer relationships and understanding customer application needs. KOL (Key Opinion Leader) customer management. Able to work with microbiologist, laboratory manager and medical technologist in clinical and industry sectors for products conversion, new products and to establish reference sites. Regular and proactive updating of management on any new developments in the marketplace, for example: competitor behaviors, product issues, customer changes, wins or potential misses. Communicate with team members at all organizational levels and functional areas, using Strategic Selling techniques within the assigned account which influence purchasing decisions. Prospect and establish new opportunities by managing a sales pipeline and developing and delivering proposals to customers by illustrating Thermo Fisher\'s value proposition Build and sustain relationships with customers and ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Leverage available resources to effectively implement company marketing plan, strategies and sales processes. Share standard processes and effective business strategies with team, management and peers. Strong interpersonal, planning, organizational, problem solving, sense of urgency and decision making skills Work closely with technical support team to schedule user training, troubleshoot technical product issues, provide product demonstrations and respond to tender specification. Collaborate with Regional Tactical Marketing and Regional Key Account Manager to drive marketing plan in the industrial market. Coordinate with customer service team to ensure timely order fulfillment and resolve any issues related to delivery or invoicing. Be an advocate for Thermo Fisher Scientific and our 4i\'s. Take all opportunities for cross selling and business development opportunities for other divisions Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: A Bachelor Degree in Microbiology, Biomedical Science, Pathology, Biotechnology or related fields. 2+ years of relevant sales experience with good knowledge of microbiology products would be beneficial for this role. Ability to identify new target accounts each year and be able to develop and implement territory plans. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Ability to work independently and be self motivated. Demonstrate Thermo Fisher Scientific values - Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement. Ideally some lab experience in a relevant area. Capable of handling major and complex accounts. Commercially aware, highly motivated and target driven. Customer orientated and able to drive activities that improve customer satisfaction. Organized, able to work independently and in teams. Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience in SAP and SFDC CRM will be a plus.
