Summary

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Account Manager to join our Finance Department. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills to oversee accounting operations, ensure accuracy of financial records, and support the company's financial growth and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations

Lead the month-end and year-end closing process

Prepare, review, and present monthly and annual financial reports

Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records, including new assets (PPE)

Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies

Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities

Provide guidance and support to the finance team to ensure compliance with internal controls and policies

Handle any other finance-related tasks as required

Qualifications

Minimum Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related business field

At least 5 years of progressive experience in Finance/Accounting, including exposure to a full set of accounts (AP/AR/GL)

Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role is highly desirable

Proficiency in accounting systems/software is an added advantage

Strong communication skills in both Malay and English (written and verbal)

High attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

Ability to lead a team, manage multiple tasks, and work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
