Position Title: Accountant

Experience Level: 3-5 years (Australian accounting firm experience required)

Working Hours: 7am - 4pm

Reports To: Senior Accountant / Director

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced

Accountant

with a strong background working in an

Australian accounting practice

. The ideal candidate must have a solid understanding of Australian tax requirements and the ability to manage client outcomes effectively. Proficiency in

Xero

and

Xero Practice Manager (XPM)

is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and lodge various categories of

Australian tax work

, including individual, company, trust, and partnership returns. Work closely with clients and internal teams to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax and accounting tasks. Use

Xero and Xero Practice Manager (XPM)

for workflow management, compliance, and client servicing. Perform reconciliations, adjustments, and necessary compliance tasks within the practice. Ensure accuracy and quality of work aligned with Australian accounting standards. Manage deadlines, client expectations, and workflow effectively.

Must-Have Requirements

3-5 years

of experience in an

Australian accounting firm

. Strong proficiency with

Xero

and

Xero Practice Manager (XPM)

. Hands-on experience with

Australian taxation

, including preparation and review across multiple tax categories. Strong understanding of client deliverables and outcomes within an accounting practice. Excellent communication skills, professional work ethic, and attention to detail.
