Job Description
General Job Outline:
A key finance team with primary responsibility of supporting the Finance Manager on financial reporting, finance operations and specific project on finance stream related to operational readiness of IFRS 17 Implementation.
Major functions:
- Support Finance Manager to manage effective and smooth transition to IFRS 17 and ensure effective finance operations and statutory reporting process.
- Support annual financial audit, financial reporting and preparation of deferred tax calculation under IFRS 17.
- Support in preparing BNM IFRS 17 Reporting package for both Conventional and Retakaful business.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and documents required by project team and internal stakeholders
Knowledge:
- Minimum 2 years of financial accounting experience.
- Good knowledge of the financial accounting and reporting requirements in Malaysia and fund accounting will be preferred but not a pre-requisite.
- Good knowledge of internal controls relevant to finance operations and reporting
- Knowledge of re/insurance business would be preferred but no a pre-prerequisite
- Team player and ability to work in project teams
- Good analytical skills
- Able to identify issues and initiate effective communication with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to adapt to changes and flexibility to accept new challenges
