Main responsibilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Reporting directly to the Manager, Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating and reporting of all financial and cost accounting activities of its business unit in Melaka. \xe2\x80\xa2 You will be expected to work independently on monthly / quarterly financial reporting, annual statutory reporting, tax planning, business planning (quarterly forecast & annual budget), cash flow planning & management accounting techniques towards the achievement of sound financial performance for the company. \xe2\x80\xa2 You will be required to contribute to the area of financial and costing postmortem analysis, manufacturing variances and efficiency analysis, product standard costing set-up / maintenance and cost saving initiatives of the business unit. \xe2\x80\xa2 You will be required to liaise with external auditors, tax agents, bankers & relevant authorities. \xe2\x80\xa2 You will be required to supervise the finance team and work closely with teams from other departments to achieve business objectives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Other duties, ad-hoc tasks as assigned by superior from time to time. Requirements and skills \xe2\x80\xa2 The ideal candidate should possess an accounting degree / passed finalist of a professional accounting body recognised by MIA. \xe2\x80\xa2 The successful candidate should preferably with a minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 working experience in audit firm or a FMCG manufacturing environment, preferably a MIA member. \xe2\x80\xa2 We look for someone who seeks continuous improvement; is results-driven; has good interpersonal skills, is innovative, with sound analytical skills and who is able to work independently. Personal integrity is a pre-requisite. \xe2\x80\xa2 Computer literate individual who is fluent in both verbal and written English is highly regarded. Prior system implementation & working experience in any ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics NAV) being a distinct advantage. \xe2\x80\xa2 Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to meet deadlines consistently. \xe2\x80\xa2 Applicants must be willing to work in Melaka. \xe2\x80\xa2 Applicants should be Malaysian citizens or hold relevant residence status.
Everts, the balloon company, was established in 1924 by Wilhelm Everts as a balloon printing company and distributor of novelties. In 1954 the Company started producing balls and by 1965, Everts began producing its own balloons in Datteln, Germany. Over the years further printing operations were formed in the UK and in 1987 a second manufacturing plant was established in Melaka, Malaysia. The Company expanded rapidly since, and in 1997 Everts was acquired by C. Riethm\xc3\xbcller GmBH, a family owned group of companies that was formed in 1855 before being eventually sold to Amscan Inc, New York in 2011. Amscan is the world\xe2\x80\x99s largest Party Goods Group with its own 900 store retail chain, Party City, distribution in UK, Germany, Australia as well as offices / showrooms across the US and in Hong Kong. Everts now forms part of the Manufacturing division of Amscan, producing natural latex balloons that complement the other in house manufactured party products, with operations in the United States, Mexico and Poland.
