KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. To lead, coach and supervise the regional finance team in delivering financial and accounting services to the respective Regional Distribution and Retail.
2. Responsible for:

• To achieve KPI as agreed with respective line manager and able to cascade the relevant KPIs to his / her subordinates.
• To plan and monitor manpower and resources required to support KPI (OPEX and CAPEX budgeting).
• To make prompt decision and response in routine operation while complying with Company\'s PPG and SOP.
• To communicate and educate new programs and business processes to relevant staffs and customers.

3. Responsible for good customer service:

• To represent the Company at various Tribunals or meetings for customer related issues.
• To involve in business process improvement and re-engineering for better and effective routine operation eg. resolving issues at the first point of contact with customer.

4. Managing debts recovery:

• To strategise and manage debts recovery including Electricity Debtors and Misc Debtors, ensuring timely payments and prompt recovery actions are taken for overdue accounts.
• To perform detailed analysis on complex cases (based on SAP record, site inspection record and any other relevant document or evidences) and to resolve customer complaint and disputes on billing and arrears, in order to ensure correct decision is made; Energy bill credit refund for amount ranging from 10,000 kWh to 15,000 kWh.
• To coordinate and submit document for civil claims.
• To review submission of bad debts for writing off (RADC and BOS).
• To serve as the regional appeal committee in reviewing appeals made by customers.

5. Responsible:

• To coordinate RTC, ensuring all RTC papers are discussed, approved and recorded timely and accurately.
• To coordinate and ensure proper planning on all procurement via small purchase, quotation and tender is in accordance with company procurement policy.

6 Financial & Accounting Services:

• To authorize and monitor payment to vendors, staff claims and CD refund to customers, ensuring timely payments are made.
• To perform petty cash & payment audit in the regional office and all outstations, ensuring all cash & payment records are accurate & in order.
• To ensure CC bills are released in SAP timely and accurately for customers\' payment.
• To ensure that budgets are assigned to projects timely after CC paid.
• To guide and support in the bank and account reconciliation.
• To manage auditing by either internal auditor or external auditor, and to follow up and provide response on the audit comments / recommendation until closure.

7. Monthly Reporting:

• To check the completeness of SAP data before and after month end close.
• To analyse and report on the monthly variances to management.
• To perform financial and management reporting.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A degree in Accounting

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Good knowledge of utility business, organization structure, ERP (SAP, SEPS, CONCUR, SEPRO etc).
• Strong analytical skill, to make decision on complex situation or to recommend options for management\'s decision.
• Strong people / communication skill.
• Good planning and coordination skill, even with restricted resources.
• Good writing and presentation skill.

SPECIAL ASPECTS/MAJOR CHALLENGES OF THE JOB:

• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Security Quality Manual (ISQM) and the ISMS roles and responsibilities procedure.
• To perform all tasks in line with the Information Governance Policy Suite and Guidelines.
• To perform all tasks in line with Group PPP.
