Accountants facilitate the company\'s financial decision-making by collecting, monitoring, correcting, and communicating the company\'s financial position. They document transactions, compile and analyse data, conduct audits, assist with budgets and financial projections, calculate taxes, and report their findings to company executives. The ideal candidate will have exceptional presentation skills and the capacity to convey complex quantitative data to decision makers. You will also provide us with accurate quantitative information regarding the financial position of our company, as well as ensure that we comply with all tax and finance regulations. Accountant work under the supervision of the Head of Finance. Accountant Responsibilities:
Assist with the compilation, analysis, and reporting of financial data for all accounting transactions, including financial statements and budget performance.
Maintain accurate records of the company\'s accounts payable and receivable, as well as make timely payments. (Bookkeeping)
Statutory audit and internal audit.
Perform tax computations and tax return preparation.
Manage both the balance sheets and the income statements.
Ensure compliance with the company\'s accounting and financial regulations, as well as those of the local, state, and federal governments.
Aiding the company in implementing new accounting policies, standards, and guidelines.
Maintain and prepare accurate reports on financial health, company liquidity, recording, reporting, and analysis of financial data.
Identify problems that arise in finance and develop solutions for their settlement.
Assist management with decision-making by developing budgets and financial projections.
Present managers, general managers, and chief executive officers with financial data, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing financial data.
Implement the statutory and internal auditing process, serve as the primary point of contact for auditor requests, and resolve discrepancies.
Handle sensitive financial data with care, and when necessary, strengthen the confidentiality of financial data and perform database backups.
Accountant Requirements:
Diploma/Bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
Experience as an accountant, particularly with general ledger functions, may be preferred.
Outstanding understanding of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB)
Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, and computer skills.
Expertise with accounting software such as QuickBooks, as well as advanced MS Excel skills
Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes.
