that requires both strategic oversight and hands-on involvement to ensure the
accuracy, timeliness, and integrity
of all financial reporting processes. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in strengthening internal controls, driving operational excellence, and supporting the company's strategic financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities1. General Ledger (GL) & Accounting Operations
Oversee all general ledger activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting standards and internal policies.
Supervise month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to deliver timely and accurate financial results.
Collaborate closely with AR and AP teams to ensure seamless transaction processing and reconciliations.
Maintain a well-structured accounting environment that supports audit readiness and compliance.
2. Financial Reporting & Compliance
Lead the statutory accounting and reporting team, ensuring full compliance with
local regulations, IFRS/GAAP
, and corporate accounting policies.
Prepare, review, and present consolidated financial statements and related disclosures.
Manage annual audits and statutory filings, ensuring all reporting obligations are met within deadlines.
Strengthen internal control frameworks and continuously improve accounting processes for greater efficiency and transparency.
3. Leadership & Collaboration
Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, promoting a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Partner with
regional finance, FP&A, and business operations teams
to support effective decision-making and strategic financial planning.
Act as the primary liaison for internal and external auditors, regulators, and key stakeholders.
4. Systems & Process Management
Utilize and optimize
ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
to streamline accounting workflows and enhance data accuracy.
Drive automation initiatives and identify opportunities to improve efficiency in accounting operations.
Ensure robust documentation, clear workflows, and effective internal controls across all accounting functions.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent)
is required.
8-12 years of progressive accounting experience
, with strong exposure in general ledger management, consolidation, and reporting within MNCs.
In-depth knowledge of
IFRS, GAAP, and local accounting standards
.
Proven track record in managing
statutory reporting, audits, and compliance
processes.
Proficiency in
ERP systems
such as SAP or Oracle.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships across cross-functional and cross-border teams.
