Role Overview:

Overseas Industries Sdn Bhd, situated in the dynamic Kawasan Perindustrian Tampoi, Johor, is on the lookout for a dedicated and meticulous Accounting Intern. This role offers the invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting practices and financial management within a thriving industry environment. You will play a crucial role in supporting our Finance Department's daily operations and month-end processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily updates of charge, billing, and collection information in Excel. Contribute to key administrative tasks and undertake ad-hoc assignments within the Finance Department. Perform data entry into the accounting system and assist in maintaining organized financial records. Assist in the preparation and collection of monthly financial reports. Help maintain journal and general ledger entries. Support in executing various accounting functions, including journal entries for month-end closing and reporting. Engage in data entries and balance sheet reconciliations under the guidance of our Accountants. Work under the supervision of an Accountant, applying learned accounting principles.

Role Requirements:

Current enrolment in a Diploma program or equivalent, with a focus on Accounting or a related field. Basic knowledge of MS Excel and SQL/accounting software. Available for an internship duration of 3-6 months. Excellent organizational skills and a strong team player. Effective communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
