• Must possess at least a Degree in Accounting. Being a member of MIA is preferred.
• Experience with listing on Bursa Malaysia is preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards (FRS, MPERS).
• Experience in a manufacturing background is preferred.
• Knowledge of ERP systems is an added advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation of monthly financial and management reports.
• Responsible for all aspects of business accounting and finance functions, including payment verification, collection, budgeting, and month-end & year-end account closing.
• Overseeing accounting and finance processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
• Overseeing all decision-making related to the accounting and financial functions of the company on a day-to-day basis.
• Ensuring compliance with company annual statutory filing requirements, such as audit, secretarial, and tax filing requirements (Borang E, SST/GST, etc.), procedures, and forms.
• Ensuring financial statements and records comply with laws and regulations.
• Ensuring accounting systems and processes align with the company's strategy, vision, mission, and values.
• Coordinating and liaising with external parties such as external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, and local tax and government authorities when required.
• Liaising with bankers, financial advisors, and legal advisors.
• Performing other accounting duties as required.
