The Accounting Team Leader will work closely with the Shared Accounting Service and Site Management team to develop, implement and enforce effective financial processes.

These responsibilities also include performing period end closing and reporting, financial systems and process operations and advisory on the financial process to other operational departments.

Performs tasks such as, however not limited to, the following:

  • Perform monthly and quarterly closing, accrual accounting and prepare & post accounting journals
  • Coordinate daily transaction in AR, billing for external customer and intercompany, update pricing and daily reporting
  • Assist AP daily issues, release PR and estimate the MYR payment
  • Create NRE order number and close ticket
  • Arrange bank guarantee renewal, board of resolution and secretarial related matters
  • Coordinate internal audit, external audit and Sox
  • Issue manual cheque and update bank record
  • Preparation of supporting schedules for period end closing
  • Prepare Corporate and Statutory Compliance reporting
  • Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations and fluctuation analysis
  • Maintains financial security by monitoring internal controls (SOX compliance), including process documentation.
  • Support Malaysian Tax Compliance, both direct & indirect taxes. Corporate tax computations, transfer pricing and withholding tax.
  • Assist in problem solving and advice on accounting and business processes.
  • Handling ad-hoc matters/projects as assigned
Requirements
  • Experience of 5 years in Accounting and GL functions
  • Preferably at least 2 years\' experience from Tax Consultancy or Audit firm
  • Malaysian Corporate Tax and Indirect Tax compliance proficiency
  • Balance Sheet schedule and supporting documentation analytical skill
  • IFRS, US GAAP and Accounting interpretation
  • GL Accounting proficiency in SAP financial system
  • Written English Proficiency
