The Accounts Assistant is responsible for supporting the finance team in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and asset management. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely payments and collections, and proper monitoring of company assets in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounts Payable (AP)
Process supplier invoices, staff claims, and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
Verify invoice details against purchase orders and approvals.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
Prepare and process payments (bank transfers, cheques, or online platforms).
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records.
Assist with AP aging reports, accruals, and month-end closing.
E-invoice submission via IRB portal
Accounts Receivable (AR)
Prepare and issue customer invoices, debit/credit notes based on contracts or sales orders.
Record customer payments and update AR ledger.
Monitor AR aging and follow up with customers on overdue accounts.
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing/payment discrepancies.
Work with sales/operations teams to resolve invoice or collection issues.
Prepare AR reports and assist with month-end revenue reconciliation.
E-invoice submission via IRB portal
Asset Management
Maintain and update the fixed asset register (additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation).
Ensure accurate recording and classification of company assets.
Assist in periodic asset verification and reconciliation with physical assets.
Monitor asset utilization and coordinate with departments for asset tracking.
Assist in preparing asset-related schedules for audit and financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards on fixed assets.
General Accounting Support
Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and filing documents.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Provide documentation for internal and external audits.
Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and tax regulations (e.g., SST).
