The position
We are looking for an Accounts Executive (1 Year Contract) who will join our Port Services division.
In Port Services, we provide our customers with piece of mind while we handle their cargo, their vessels and their crew. We handle 75,000 port calls per year, which means that every 7 minutes, anywhere around the world, we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. We match local expertise with strict global standards, making sure we consistently make our customers\xe2\x80\x99 port calls as efficient and safe as possible.
About the location
The position will be located at KL Sentral, which is in the heart of city and easy to get to by public transportation.
The Accounts Executive (1 Year Contract) will be reporting directly to Team Leader.
What you will be doing
Prepare, finalize and submit Disbursement Accounts (DA) within set guidelines and KPIs.
Process & post vendor invoices received into the company\'s system by applying correct country\xe2\x80\x99s tax, account and service codes.
Ensure all DAs\' service lines are posted and vouchers are mapped in the system.
Responsible for ensuring high accuracy of data input.
Assist customers and port staffs with resolution of DA related enquiries/issues.
Monitor/follow-up timely receipt of vendor invoices with port staffs by running weekly DA aging report.
Ensure all posted vendor invoices and finalized DAs records are archived properly in SharePoint.
Provide assistance when required to other internal partners (ie: Credit Controller, Finance, etc.).
Ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the Manager or Team Lead.
Ensuring the Company quality standards and procedures are followed.
Account reconciliations and project accounts.
Provide backup support to fellow team members.
Skills required
Diploma or Degree Holder in any field; can be compensated with relevant working experience.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Previous experience in Shipping Industry is a bonus, but not required.
Excellent English communication skills (good verbal & written English is essential for this role).
Sound basic skills with MS Office 365 (SharePoint, Excel, Teams, etc.), good keyboard and general computer skills.
Exhibit strong sense of responsibility.
Able to work under pressure and independently with minimum supervision.
Ability to organize & coordinate work, with strong attention to details and the ability to multi-task.
Able to process high volume accounts with high accuracy and able to complete assigned tasks within the stipulated deadlines and KPI.
Team player.
Able to start immediately / short notice will be preferred.
