Job Description


  • Bachelor Degree from accredited university with major in Accounting, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) or/and PA or any equivalent certification.
  • At least 5 years of related working experience for a medium size or large property development or construction company with at least 5+ years of working experience in handling audit and tax matters from an established public accounting firm.
  • English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
  • Experienced in liaising with bankers on funding requirements & project accounting.
  • Strong analytical & leadership skills and able to work under pressure.
  • Must have strong background in application of financing packages for projects.
  • Able to multi-task, pro-active, result oriented and able to interact with people at all levels.
Responsibilities

Summary of Principal Job Responsibility:
  • Manage full set of Accounts more than 3 entities in Malaysia.
  • Review journals and financials to ensure that monthly results are reported accurately and timely.
  • Review Balance Sheet schedules, Intercompany and bank reconciliations.
Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the accounting department, including but not limited to supervision of the staff, performance appraisal, resources planning and etc. and supervising the accounting team on various issues encounter during the daily work and heavily involve in problem solving.
  • Oversee, manage and prepare the property development division\'s companies and projects accounting records, systems, controls and procedures to enable efficient cost accounting and reporting for analysis and budgeting purposes.
  • Apply accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information, prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements and ensure appropriate accounting control procedures.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures.
  • Prepare financial management reports, ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
  • Prepare yearly budget/forecast, cash flow and business plan.
  • Develop and maintain financial data bases, financial audit preparation and coordinate the audit process.
  • Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic recommendations and maintain solutions to business and financial problems.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirement including audit, taxation and internal control.
  • Prepare and implement tax planning and liaise with auditors and tax agent. Handling tax computation and tax estimation and ensure compliance with all tax compliance.
  • Liaising with other external parties such as company secretary, bankers, lawyers and government authorities on related job matters. Liaising with bankers on funding requirements.
  • Prepare and update monthly cash flow estimates and ensure effective treasury management.
  • Undertake special assignment, ad-hoc function and related duties as and when necessary.
