Job Description

Company background: Our MNC Client who is a global provider with leading technology. They are hiring for a detailed and responsible candidate to fill their current job opening of Account Payable - Supervisor, to be based at Kulim, Kedah or Penang. Basic Job Functions: Lead a team of Accountants on Company\xe2\x80\x99s regular accounting and compliance work. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Ensure team member resolved all issues and invoice discrepancies daily. Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries. Review AP aging report on weekly basis. Review GRIR aging report on weekly basis. Review vendor statement reconciliations. Review journal entries and ensure proper general ledger coding in support of monthly closing. Review monthly balance sheet accounts reconciliation. Supervise the team member including hiring, task assigning, training, and evaluating team progression to enhance their performance and development. Address performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Develop procedures and policies for Accounts Payable process to ensure adherence to company guidelines. Ensure compliance with Corporate Accounting policies and proper execution of controls laid out in the Sarbanes-Oxley documents. Work with counterparts to ensure consistency among processes. Lead on improvement project. Other tasks as assigned. Job Requirements: Minimum a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree holder in Finance or Accounting. Minimum at least 7 years to 10 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment or audit firm. Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA and CA. Team managing experience (6 to 7 team members). Exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Familiar with ERP system (Oracle/SAP). Aptitude for learning & utilizing systems. Organizing, prioritizing, and meeting deadlines. Problem analysis and problem-solving skills and ability to handle a variety of challenging situation. Strong planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work. Ability to work under pressure sufficient to meet deadlines. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to adapt in a changing work environment. Good analytical mindset. Team player. Professional integrity. Strong communication skill. Knowledge of local company laws and tax regulations. Proficient on MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point etc. Candidate must be willing to work in either Kulim, Kedah or Penang.
