Position Overview:

Reporting to Manager, Corporate Actuarial, the incumbent will be based in Kuala Lumpur to remotely support the Hong Kong Valuation team (based in Hong Kong) on process enhancements and other initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Enhance the business planning process by supporting projection modelling and performing result analysis to assist strategic decision-making. Improve and automate actuarial data workflows, with a focus on optimizing the generation of Prophet Model Points for better maintainability and efficiency. Assist in the development and implementation of a robust framework for managing actuarial assumptions and premium data, ensuring accuracy and consistency in actuarial computations. Streamline business-as-usual (BAU) processes across key regulatory and reporting frameworks, including LDTI, HKRBC, US STAT, and Solvency II. Contribute to other valuation activities and ad-hoc projects within the Hong Kong Valuation team, including initiatives aimed at process enhancement and ongoing BAU support.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, statistics, mathematics, finance, data science or related fields 0-2 years' working experience in life insurance / reinsurance companies Computer savvy and a strong knowledge in SQL, Excel and VBA. Prophet and Alteryx knowledge is a plus Strong analytical, data management skills, attention to details and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Strong critical thinking and solutions focused with excellent communication skill in English (both written and verbal) A highly motivated and conceptual thinker who is able to collaborate in a team environment or work independently and take an active role in a wide variety of assignments
