Actuarial Analyst - Valuation and Inforce Management

This role focuses on the data management of treaties under the responsibility of Munich Re Retakaful, and other support required on the actuarial valuation / inforce management function. Your Job
Data Management:
Setting up of treaties on Data management tool: assisting IT and project management team in addressing issues related to product features, treaty terms, and retakaful contribution / reinsurance premium reconciliation in the onboarding of treaties on data management tool.
Co-ordinating with IT, project management, Technical Accounting team, Client Managers and clients to ensure setting up treaties on time.
Maintenance of treaties on Data management tool: addressing any issues in the maintenance of treaties on the data management tool by coordinating with IT, client managers and clients.
Co-ordinating with Technical Accounting team on validation of retakaful contribution / reinsurance premium and claims records submitted by clients.
Assist in data preparation / update for valuation runs and experience studies.
AXIS model conversions: undertake and complete for selected treaties, includes liaising with regional actuarial teams for review and approval.
Experience studies: undertake and complete experience studies via AXIS for treaties/products agreed with Manager, which includes liaising with regional actuarial teams for review and approval.
Support regular experience monitoring, treaty performance analysis and assumptions review.
Support local BNM reporting, which includes quarterly reserving & RBCT process, FCR and annual valuation report.
Support tasks related to Solvency II and IFRS reporting to ensure accurate and timely submissions.
Participate in other ad hoc projects within the Valuation & Inforce Management team.
Your Profile
At least 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in relevant actuarial function (preferred).
Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Statistics degree and working towards Fellowship of a recognized actuarial body.
Good academic achievements
Excellent analytical skills, logical and concise in approach and demonstrate attention to detail
Strong Excel skills, strong VBA skills and proficiency in SQL would be advantageous
A pragmatic approach to business pressure and agility are essential
Self-motivated and able to work within a team environment, outcome focused
Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal)
