Job Description

POSITION GENERAL SUMMARYAssist the Manager of the estate operation such as harvesting and collection, upkeep and other related activities at oil palm plantation site.ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Ensure that overall estate operations i.e. harvesting/upkeep, preparation of work programmes, schedule of works and execution of works in accordance to the programmes and company policy by area assigned.
• Supervise and monitor of other estate operations such as infrastructure works i.e. harvesters\' paths/road, bridges, drainage and foot bridges, pests & diseases, manuring, sanitation etc.
• Ensure good water management is implemented.
• Implement treatment at disturbed soil areas as per programmed (if applicable).
• Provide financial and progress report of the area assigned.
• Manage the security of asset, plantation, produce etc.
• Prepare and execute daily planning of the estate and other related administration works as instructed by the Management
• Close monitor of public and foreign workers movement to ensure no illegal activities the estate area.
• Ensure security of FFB from harvesting until despatched to the mill.
• Other works related to the plantation management as and when instructed by the superior/management.

Key Challenges

• Supervise & manage foreign workers who are not aware of the company s terms and regulations of works, procedure, statutory requirement etc.
• Monitoring and measurement of process; analytical, knowledge, systematic approach and integrity are vital components to achieve good results.
• Scarcity of labour required to sourcing around for adequate legal labour.
• Technical knowledge about plantation activities, regulatory and statutory requirements.

Skills

• Good technical knowledge on agriculture, oil palm plantation and other related activities.
• Knowledge in basic computer usage.
• Experience in plantation and landscape management would be an added advantage.

Education

• Certificate/STPM with SPM in :

• Bahasa Malaysia - Credit
• English - Pass
• Mathematics - Pass
