Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer (Piping/Skids)

Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur

We are currently seeking a Advanced Mechanical Design Engineer (Piping/Skids) to join our Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur office.

Key Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Work as skid piping engineer for skid piping design and engineering.

\xc2\xb7 Technologies covered under this position profile are primarily Gas Processing and Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) systems, with the option to also cover other Honeywell UOP Process Technologies.

\xc2\xb7 Participate in development and review of basic plant and equipment layout / general arrangement and modular 3-D models.

\xc2\xb7 Complete assigned project work per the agreed scope, schedule, and budget.

\xc2\xb7 Support technical sales support to produce optimized process solutions in both the budgetary and fixed proposal phases that can be smoothly handed off for project execution.

\xc2\xb7 Support Customer Specifications Review and contribute to development of Exceptions & Clarifications Communication when required on Fixed Price Proposals.

\xc2\xb7 Participate in new technology development / infrastructure teams when assigned.

\xc2\xb7 Keep up to date with customer needs and technologies within assigned area.

\xc2\xb7 Prepare engineering Documentation which include calculations, data sheet and specification.

\xc2\xb7 Supervision of skid module fabrication which include Working with Contractor, monitoring fabrication progress and conduct the factory acceptance test. Ensuring of engineering contractor engineering performance for the project.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to answer questions, with confidence, from other disciplines and workstreams as to the requirement/function of each item.

\xc2\xb7 Work with designer to develop 3D model, 2D drawings and MTO.

\xc2\xb7 Review and approval of vendor data and fabrication procedures. Ensuring of consistency of vendor data with other design documents.

\xc2\xb7 Participation in preparation of project schedules.

Key Experience & Capabilities:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering
• Min 8 years of Experience in piping engineering for Oil & Gas / Refining / Petrochemicals industry.
• Good knowledge of relevant industrial Codes and Standards, including international standards and practices.
• Familiar with offshore and onshore design requirements and standards
• Familiarity with Basic and Detailed Engineering work processes and inter-discipline interactions.
• Skills to apply engineering design criteria, guidelines, and contract requirements to design work. Skills to apply process design criteria and guidelines to all phases of process engineering (piping/skids/modules).
• Skills in piping material, skid module design, piping design and pipe stress analysis.
• Knowledge in structure material and design in an advantage.
• Ability to lead vendors, budget scope, manage and coordinate project deliverables under tight deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.\xc2\xb7bility to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to travel 20% both domestic and internationally including lengthy business trips to site during construction and commissioning.
• Ability to work independently.
• Willingness to learn new technologies.
• Ability to work on multiple projects at a time.
