Job Title: Advisory Database Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced

Advisory Database Engineer

to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of complex database systems. You'll play a key role in supporting large-scale, high-concurrency environments while driving stability, automation, and performance.

Responsibilities:

Lead database architecture design and performance planning. Maintain databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, SQLServer, ElasticSearch, OpenSearch). Manage lifecycle changes - upgrades, migrations, and patching. Develop automation tools/scripts using Shell, Python. Implement monitoring systems using Prometheus, Grafana. Handle incident response, root cause analysis, and recovery planning. Oversee real-time data migration/synchronization between heterogeneous systems.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

9+ years

of experience in database management and operations. Proficient in

at least 5

of: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, SQLServer, ElasticSearch, OpenSearch. Solid scripting and automation experience (Shell/Python). Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills. Database certifications (e.g., OCP, PGCM) are a plus. Mandarin proficiency preferred.

Pay: RM14,000.00 - RM20,000.00 per month
