ACHIEVEMENTS to-date * Possess a good Science based Bachelor\'s or higher degree in Agricultural Sciences. * Candidates with a Soil Science background and/or interests in soil taxonomy are encouraged to apply. * Candidates with relevant experiences and outstanding academic and leadership achievements in School, University or the Community are encouraged to apply. * Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia * Possess strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills. * Willing to travel extensively. RESPONSIBILITIES: * To conduct research on Oil Palm, linking palm responses (growth, yields and nutrition) to various treatments influenced by growing conditions (soil health). * To conduct literature reviews on emerging R&D trends in agriculture. The position also requires the Candidate to publish their R&D findings and attend and present their R&D findings at conferences (locally and abroad) and courses. * To carry out Advisory Agronomic services to estates, providing agro-management solutions to improve yields. The position involves in-house training to equip the Candidate with the basic skills and tools necessary to become a Consultant agronomist. The Candidate will undergo a 2-year apprenticeship under the guidance of Senior Agronomists. REMUNERATION We offer an attractive remuneration package of a gross monthly salary, fixed allowances, yearly bonuses and excellent opportunities for long-term career development to successful candidates. Comprehensive training will be provided to successful candidates who will be based at our Kota Damansara offices and Laboratories.
