Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Agronomist to join our team. The ideal candidate is not only experienced in durian plantation but also possesses excellent people management skills. As an Agronomist , you will play a crucial role in overseeing our durian orchard operations, optimizing yield and managing a dedicated team of workers.

Key Responsibilities:

Durian Plantation Management: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of durian cultivation to oversee all aspects of orchard management, including planting, maintenance, pest control and harvest.
People Management: Efficiently manage and lead a team of workers, ensuring tasks are completed effectively and that team members are motivated, trained and aligned with company objectives.
Continuous Improvement: Maintain a strong focus on self-improvement and stay updated with the latest agronomy practices, management techniques and technologies to enhance orchard productivity.
Collaboration and Learning: Foster a culture of idea sharing, open communication and receptiveness to feedback. Collaborate with colleagues and management to drive innovation and efficiency.
Company-Centric Approach: Keep the best interests of the company in mind when making decisions, planning strategies and implementing improvements in orchard management.
Integrity and Hard Work: Demonstrate unwavering honesty, integrity and a strong work ethic. Take initiative and work diligently with minimal supervision.
Lead by Example: Serve as a role model for your team, leading by example through your dedication, professionalism and commitment to excellence.
Equipment Care: Thorough knowledge of farm equipment and materials and ability to manage the use of materials and equipment efficiently and economically.
Record and Report: Keep detailed records regarding workers' schedules, plantation operations, durian tree conditions and report findings regularly.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Agronomy, Agriculture or a related field.
Required at least 2 years of working experience and proven experience in durian plantation management
Strong people management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Continuous learner with a commitment to ongoing self-improvement. Accept feedback and criticism.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Demonstrated integrity and a strong work ethic.
Fluency in Malay & English language.
Valid driver's license and the ability to drive.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to live near the durian orchard, Kuantan ( Sungai Lembing)
