Job SummaryPerform transactional activities pertaining to Fixed Asset accounting, GL accounting,reconciliation and closing activities in accordance with accounting standards, service levels,company policies, procedures and controls.Prepare consolidated financial reports in a timely and accurate manner in accordance withpolicies and procedures on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis or as otherwise required.Duties and ResponsibilitiesFixed Asset AccountingCreate and maintain asset accounting master dataPerform asset period end processing and reportingGeneral LedgerPerform transactional activities within agreed timelines, i.e. maintaining system rate in SAP systemPerform journal entriesxe2x80x99 park/post activitiesReconcile accounts with the general ledger to ensure that all entries are accurate and in compliance with accounting standards and make changes where necessary when errors are foundBank reconciliationFI Billing activitiesInterco reconciliationPerform monthly, quarterly and annual close processes as per closing schedulePrepare analytic reports and/ or accounting schedulesReportingPrepare P&L accounts, perform preliminary review and trend analysisPrepare balance sheet reconciliations and notes to accountsPrepare and consolidate month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial reports in a timely mannerSupport Retained Finance in extraction of data/information required for statutory audit, internal audit, IFRS audit.OthersAdhere to service levels, internal controls, company policies and proceduresIdentify and report to supervisor on repetitive issues or risks, and propose on improvement opportunitiesIdentify repetitive issues or risks and propose on improvement opportunities for increased efficiencyResolve any identified operational issues and escalate to supervisor where necessaryAny other ad hoc task assigned by supervisorJob RequirementsDegree in relevant field (Commerce, Finance, Accounting)0 xe2x80x93 2 years of work experienceIndustry or shared services experience is an added advantageStrong team playerFamiliar with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel, is a mustExperience in using SAP system, especially Asset Module and GL Module, is added advantageGood verbal and written communication skills in English.
