Analytics Engineers are the bridge between data engineering and data analysis. They transform raw data into trusted, analytics-ready datasets that empower analysts, data scientists, and business leaders to focus on insights and strategy. Think of this role as owning the

user experience of data

ensuring it is well-organized, reliable, and easy to use.

This is a high-visibility position where you'll partner with stakeholders across

Finance, Product, and Operations

to deliver timely, accurate, and trusted data for decision-making. You'll also play a key role in the

hub-and-spoke BI model

: maintaining centralized governance while enabling distributed analysts to self-serve with confidence.

Key Responsibilities:

Build analytics-ready datasets in Databricks using a layered (Medallion: Bronze, Silver, Gold) architecture. Design, manage, and optimize Delta Live Tables (DLT) pipelines for automated transformations. Deliver curated, governed datasets in BI tools (Looker, Omni.co, etc.) to support self-service analytics. Implement data validation and monitoring to ensure accuracy and consistency. Define and maintain data governance standards, naming conventions, and semantic models. Establish and enforce dataset access and security controls. Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Operations leaders, as well as analysts and engineers, to accelerate insights.

Qualifications:

Malaysian citizen (mandatory). Advanced SQL and strong expertise in data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling, semantic layers). Strong, hands-on knowledge of

Databricks

, including Delta Live Tables (DLT). Experience building datasets with layered/Medallion architecture. Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools (dbt, Fivetran, Airflow, or similar). Experience with BI platforms (Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or Omni.co; Looker and Omni preferred). Proficiency with Git and modern data stack practices.
