Our client is a well-established global brand in the consumer electronic space, known for bringing in smart innovative technologies. They are currently expanding their R&D capabilities in Malaysia and are looking for an experienced Android Application Technical Manager to join their dynamic team.

Job summary:
You'll be leading a team of Android developers in designing and developing smart TV apps. You'll also be working closely with other teams including product, design and backend to deliver features that provide top user experience.

Lead and guide a team of Android engineers in designing, developing and delivering high quality Android TV applications
Define and set the technical direction for the app development roadmap
Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, product managers, QA and backend teams to build seamless user experiences
Mentor Developers to create a highly skilled team
Report progress to project managers and management
Continuously discover, evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development
Work with both internal and external 3rd party APIs to integrate new features and services
Drive Unit test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability
Lead work on bug fixing and improving application performance
Job Requirements:
A Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Multimedia Technology, E&E, Mechatronics or related field
Strong experience as a Team Lead in Android development, with proven ability to mentor and guide developers
At least 7 years of hands-on experience in building and shipping Android applications
Solid experience in Android SDK, Kotlin, and working with 3rd party libraries & APIs
Successfully published at least one app on the Google Play Store (preferably on Android TV platform)
Deep understanding of Android platform architecture, UI/UX, memory management and security practices
Passionate about clean, maintainable production ready code
Familiar with Agile methodologies. Experience as Scrum Master is a bonus
