We are seeking a highly experienced and proficient

Android Developer

with a strong

R&D background

. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of

8 years of experience

dedicated entirely to native Android development and be fluent in both

Mandarin and English

to facilitate seamless regional communication and collaboration. This role requires significant

autonomy in research and development

for automation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include

designing, developing, and maintaining Android applications

, collaborating with teams on new features, ensuring application performance and quality, writing clean code, implementing testing, and staying current with industry trends.

Job Requirements:

Minimum

8 years of experience

fully on android development. Proficiency in both

Mandarin & English

. Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred). Strong R&D background and a self-starter attitude to complete R&D / PoC based tasks. Must have experience in

self-initiated build projects

or Proof of Concepts (PoCs). Experience with automated test frameworks, including

instrumental APKs

, UiAutomator, etc. Familiarity with engineering tools such as JATs or Fredal & Kentel Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Willingness to learn and pickup new frameworks / concepts (required for code assessment)

Technical Skills (Required):

Proficiency in

Kotlin and Java

programming languages. Competence with version control tools, particularly

Git

(clone, pull, rebase, submitting PR/MR). Proficiency with

Android Accessibility Services

(rootInActiveWindow, performAction, onAccessibilityEvent, etc), Android Kotlin Coroutines (basic delay) Knowledge of

Android custom ROMs (

flashing to bootloader, compiling, rooting) Experience with

WebSocket / SignalR

or other stream-based frameworks. Experience with architectural patterns like

MVVM

, MVP, or MVI. Proficiency with

RESTful APIs

(Retrofit + OkHttp) and experience handling authentication (OAuth2/JWT, caching, and retry mechanisms). Knowledge of

Android OS and app lifecycle

(activity task stack, etc).

Remuneration

RM8,000 - RM25,000 per month (commensurate with experience)
