About the Role

We're looking for a proactive, technically capable Financial Crime Analyst to join our team and play a key role in our Group's efforts to prevent and detect financial crime and identify opportunities to strengthen our controls. This is a hands-on role that blends analytical work with pragmatic operational decision-making. As a crucial member of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to implement robust compliance measures and safeguard our company from potential risks.

Responsibilities and Duties

Conduct comprehensive financial crime investigations, including anti-money laundering (AML), fraud, and other illicit activities, using various analytical techniques and tools. Analyse large volumes of financial data and transaction records to identify patterns, trends, and suspicious activities that may indicate potential financial crimes. Stay updated on the latest industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks related to financial crimes, and proactively incorporate this knowledge into our risk management practices. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing financial crime prevention controls and propose improvements to strengthen the company's risk management framework Support Suspicious Activity Report preparation (drafting, gathering evidence etc.) Prepare and maintain dashboards and regular Management Information packs for the team and key stakeholders Assist in running periodic risk assessments and document control mappings Support policy reviews Keep up to date with regulatory and guidance changes and share with the team




Essential Skills


Strong judgement and decision-making skills. Prior experience in Anti-Financial Crime roles, 3+ years. Relevant certifications (e.g. CAMS, ICA) are preferred. Strong understanding of financial crime regulations, including AML, KYC, CDD, and sanctions compliance. Solid knowledge of financial products, transactional structures, and payment systems. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and draw meaningful conclusions from complex data sets. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to present findings and recommendations to diverse audiences. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team to achieve common goals. High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data security.
