Position Description:

This role is accountable for leading the execution of the Global Payroll services delivered via the ESC, located in Malaysia, for defined country payrolls \xe2\x80\x93 working collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to drive standardization and optimization of the global payroll operations process to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.

Functions, Duties, Tasks:

  • Lead and develop a team of Payroll Specialists
  • Lead coordination, maintenance and continued growth and development of international payroll operations at ESC HR, KL
  • Design and implement modifications, updates and enhancements in technology/vendors, applications and processes to ensure optimal performance in the delivery of payroll services
  • Build and monitor critical metrics to measure the service support levels across all service and payment delivery platforms.
  • Support senior management with specific data reporting needs. Identifies any unmet system/data needs of the business and works to develop appropriate solutions
  • Deliver on continuous payroll improvement targets
  • Facilitate the integration of new/updated payroll processes and/or vendors into the payroll operating model
  • Coordinate with partners, customers and key stakeholders (HR Operations, Finance, Internal Audit, HR, IT and Management) to ensure integration, efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery of global payroll services as well as addressing business needs with a customer focused and compliant disposition
  • Ensure Internal Audit controls and SOX narratives are correct and comprehensive
  • Participate in a broad range of projects that support HR, Workforce Management, and Finance and Accounting, through regular pro-active interaction to understand the needs of the business.
  • Develop talent to sustain local and global competitiveness. This includes identifying and / or recruiting individuals with leadership potential, providing mentoring and enrichment opportunities consistent with succession planning.
  • Comply with all company local and global policies including legal & privacy frameworks, Code of Conduct, anti-discrimination, harassment, and health, safety and environment (HSE) policies.
  • Perform any other duties or serve in such other capacity as may be determined by Company management
Minimum Qualification (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):

Education: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree (minimum) in HR, Finance or related field.

Experience:
  • Around 6 years of payroll experience with 2 to 4 years of managerial exposure leading a team in the MNC environment
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and work effectively and collaboratively with various business partnerships, regions and cultures and to promote effective collaboration between them.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Abilty to work with highly sensitive information in a confidential manner, projecting trust & credibility with leaders & employees
  • Effective analytical & problem solving capabilities with the ability to identify issues & make data driven decisions
  • Good knowledge of English language, other regional languages would be an added advantage
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Solid vendor management experience and skills
Other Information:
  • Ability to flex working schedule to meet the needs to of the business (before / after hours)
  • Expected Travel : less than 10%
