Payroll Specialist

Description

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process across multiple countries within the region. This role ensures payroll accuracy, compliance with statutory regulations, and timely delivery, while supporting broader HR and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and process payroll for multiple markets across the region, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution. Perform end-to-end payroll processing, including calculations for salary, pension, leave, commissions, and other compensation components. Liaise with local authorities and service providers on matters related to pensions, social insurance, taxation (including e-filing), and other statutory obligations. Prepare, analyze, and reconcile payroll reports for internal stakeholders and external vendors. Maintain accurate, up-to-date payroll data and employee information within the system. Develop, review, and implement payroll policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Participate in meetings and provide professional advice on HR and payroll-related matters, including labor laws and employment regulations. Provide administrative and operational support for regional payroll and related HR initiatives.

Requirements

Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing for Malaysia and other countries within the Asia Pacific region. Experience working in start-ups or small to medium-sized organizations is preferred. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems, with excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Experience with Power BI or data visualization tools is an advantage. Proactive, resourceful, and adept at problem-solving. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and action-driven. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
