This includes implementing the corporate security program across all business units and working with key stakeholders to ensure it supports overall business goals.The APAC Senior Security Specialist will perform the full range of security program related to the protection of Medtronicxe2x80x99s tangible and intangible assets, including; facility security, incident and crisis response, work place violence prevention, travel security, threat assessment/ mitigation, risk assessment, investigations, executive protection, education/ training and driving a strong security culture.This role requires a natural curiosity, proficiency in project management, strong relationship-building skills, and the ability to communicate effectively and execute tasks during challenging times. The ideal candidate should possess systematic thinking, be capable of developing processes, and demonstrate the ability to work independently as a self-starter.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Provides daily management and coordination of all physical security activities across the region.Supports the Senior Regional Security Manager with the implementation of physical security policies, plans, and procedures across the region.Conducts remote and onsite security assessments of facilities, identifying and mitigating threats in accordance with corporate policies, standards, and guidelines.Represents physical security in facility projects, providing security design and managing the deployment of security controls, as well as implementing necessary standard operating procedures.Acts as the representative of Global Physical Security within the region to promote a coordinated approach to security matters, liaising locally with key stakeholders such as Senior Management, Human Resources, Employee Relations, Facilities, Communications, and Legal.Provides guidance and interpretation of security standards, practices, and programs to support regional and global business and security initiatives.Identifies and mitigates threats in accordance with Medtronicxe2x80x99s workplace violence and threat management program.Conducts, directs, and oversees internal investigations related to threats against Medtronic, its property, employees, or interests, in coordination with other relevant functions. Reviews and evaluates all security-related incidents and makes recommendations to prevent recurrence.Monitors the region for risks to Medtronicxe2x80x99s assets and its business operations, implementing effective mitigation strategies.Ensures that the crisis management program runs efficiently across the region. Supports the readiness of sub-regional/country crisis management teams and serves as the physical security point of contact.Oversees the travel security program in the region and manages high-risk travel support.Ensures staff are aware of their individual responsibilities as outlined in plans and supporting procedures. Develops training programs and conducts training exercises to ensure organizational preparedness for security-related incidents and to increase employee awareness.Routinely reports to both regional management and Global Physical Security.Builds and maintains close working relationships with employees, key stakeholders, law enforcement, governmental agencies, professional organizations, community emergency responders, intelligence agencies, and private sector counterparts.Acts as an accountable role model who fosters an inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplace, demonstrated through actions.Periodic Travel xe2x80x93 up to 20%Required Knowledge and Experiences:Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree, ideally in security management, law, criminal justice, international relations or from a technical institutionMasterxe2x80x99s degree in the above fields preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience within the security field, ideally in an international corporate environmentRelevant security certifications (CPP, CSMP, PSP, APP, etc.) would be considered as an assetStrong knowledge of regional security threatsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalDynamic team player and leader, able to work effectively and proactively in cross-functional teamsAbility to maintain a professional demeanor under stressful situationsStrong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution skillsCommitment to continuous learning and developmentExcellent influencing, process thinking, change management, and data analysis skillsAbility to work independently as a self-starterProficiency in Microsoft Office SuitePhysical Job RequirementsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive Salary and flexible Benefits Package
