Role Overview

KFin Technologies Ltd is seeking an experienced

API Developer

with a strong

FinTech background

, particularly in

Fund Accounting and Mutual Funds

. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining

high-performance APIs

that support

financial reporting, fund operations, and data integrations

across multiple systems.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with

fund accounting data, NAV calculations, investor reporting, regulatory reporting

, and similar financial domains.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain

RESTful APIs

for fund accounting, mutual fund operations, and reporting platforms Build APIs for

financial reports generation

, data extraction, reconciliation, and downstream consumption Integrate APIs with

core fund accounting systems

, transfer agent systems, and third-party platforms Handle

large-scale financial data

related to NAV, AUM, corporate actions, transactions, and investor records Ensure

data accuracy, integrity, and consistency

across all API-driven processes Collaborate with

business analysts, fund accounting teams, and product teams

to understand reporting and regulatory requirements Implement

security standards

such as OAuth2, JWT, encryption, and role-based access control Optimize APIs for

performance, scalability, and high availability

Participate in

code reviews, unit testing, integration testing

, and deployment activities Support

production issues, root cause analysis

, and continuous improvements

Required Skills & ExperienceTechnical Skills

5-8 years of experience in

API development

in a

FinTech or financial services environment

Strong hands-on experience with

REST APIs

(JSON/XML) Proficiency in one or more backend technologies: Java / Spring Boot .NET Core Node.js Strong experience with

SQL and RDBMS

(Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) Exposure to

batch processing and report generation frameworks

Experience with

microservices architecture

Knowledge of

API documentation tools

(Swagger/OpenAPI) Familiarity with

CI/CD pipelines

and version control tools (Git, Bitbucket)

Domain & Functional Expertise

Strong understanding of

Fund Accounting concepts

, including: Mutual Funds NAV calculation AUM Corporate actions Expense accruals Pricing and valuation Experience in

financial, regulatory, and investor reporting

Knowledge of

SEBI / AMFI regulations

or similar global fund regulations is a plus Exposure to

transfer agency operations

and financial reconciliations is highly desirable

Soft Skills

Experience working with

cloud platforms
