Application Support Engineer

Location:

Cyberjaya / Kuala Lumpur (or Hybrid if applicable)

Up to RM 3,500 per month

Contract & Conversion

This position starts as a

6-month contract

Upon satisfactory performance and based on business needs, the role may be

converted to a permanent position

Performance expectations will be communicated clearly during the contract period
Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day application support for assigned systems Monitor, investigate, and resolve application issues Manage support tickets and ensure proper follow-up until closure Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors Perform and support

application deployments

in accordance with deployment schedules and procedures Assist in post-deployment verification and issue resolution Maintain support and deployment documentation, logs, and handover records Support scheduled system activities, including

occasional weekend work

Weekend & After-Hours Support

Occasional standby during

pre-planned weekend activities

, including deployments or maintenance Schedule will be communicated in advance This role does

not require 24/7 on-call support

Time-off in lieu or compensation will be arranged accordingly
Working Environment

Small team with direct communication Priorities may shift based on business needs Tasks are prioritised -- not everything is urgent Changes are communicated clearly, not ad-hoc
Requirements

1-3 years of experience in application or system support Experience or exposure to

application deployment activities

Comfortable supporting production environments Able to troubleshoot issues independently Good communication skills with technical and non-technical users Comfortable working in a

small company environment

Nice to Have

Experience with deployment tools or release processes Familiarity with ticketing or incident management systems Basic SQL, log analysis, or troubleshooting skills
What This Role Is Not

Not a software development role Not a structured corporate environment This role does not involve continuous on-call support.
