Junior Application Support Engineer

We are seeking an experienced MES Application Support Engineer to be based in Perai, Pulau Pinang. The role involves supporting the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) -- primarily Camstar -- as well as customized web applications, Power BI, and Power Automate solutions. The candidate will work independently and collaboratively with in-house engineers to support, troubleshoot, and continuously improve application operations within the production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide daily operational and technical support for the Camstar MES system. Support custom web applications, Power BI reports, and Power Automate workflows. Troubleshoot, debug, and document system issues, ensuring timely resolution. Participate in system testing, deployment, and minor enhancements. Collaborate with internal teams to understand business processes and translate them into system solutions. Proactively identify areas for process improvement and propose solutions.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3-5 years of relevant experience in application support, preferably in MES or manufacturing systems. Strong understanding of programming or scripting concepts (e.g., Python, PowerShell, SQL, or web scripting). Hands-on experience with Power BI and Power Automate is a plus. Self-driven with the ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks. Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Up to RM5,000.00 per month
