About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated

Application Support Engineer

to join our technology operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the

maintenance, support, and optimization of business-critical applications

. This role involves

troubleshooting, system monitoring, and working closely with internal teams

to ensure smooth application performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Provide

daily operation and maintenance support

for business-related applications. Diagnose, analyze, and

resolve application and system failures

promptly. Respond to and

troubleshoot user inquiries, issues, and service requests

. Perform

root cause analysis

and implement preventive measures to reduce system incidents. Support

database operations

including basic administration, monitoring, and SQL query tuning. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to ensure timely issue resolution. Participate in

application deployment, configuration, and upgrade activities

. Provide

on-call support

during off-hours or night shifts as required. Prepare and maintain

support documentation

, SOPs, and incident reports.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree

or higher in Information Management, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.

1-3 years

of working experience in

application support, system operations, or software development

. Hands-on experience with:

Java applications

Oracle Database and SQL

Basic

database management

or performance tuning experience is an advantage. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience working with

multiple stakeholders

to resolve issues and drive alignment.

Fluent in English

(spoken and written); proficiency in

Mandarin

is an added advantage. A

self-motivated, fast learner

who can work independently and as part of a team. Willing to support

nightshift / on-call duty

as needed.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
