Job Purpose The purpose of this role is to provide technical support, which includes maintaining, resolving, coordinating, and communicating for incidents across MDEC mainly OutSystems Low-Code platform and various applications. The support can be inclusive of application and infrastructure changes, system deployment and security patches, hardware upgrades, bug fixes, etc. This role shall provide services to help product management and project teams to maintain applications in MDEC. Duties & Responsibilities: To resolve IT application-related incidents, change requests and problems in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure Root Cause Analysis is conducted with no repeating incident. Create and drive permanent solutions and improvements after root cause is identified. Liaise with related 3rd parties / vendors to ensure system stabilization, system troubleshooting and identify root cause. Provide timely communication to project teams / business stakeholders on the status of their service requests and incidents. To be involved in designing, coding, database query, testing and deployments based on business and technical requirements. Maintaining and enhancing existing applications: You may also be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing applications inclusive OutSystems applications by fixing bugs, adding new features, and improving functionality. Re-factoring, updating, and maintaining backend code and processes, including web servers, API servers, databases, integrations, and interfacing modules. Ensure the stability and security of all front and back-end component. Monitor and optimize the service availability, performance, and throughput of supported IT applications. Managing MDEC Git. Plans, coordinate and manage activities related to application management, including change request, deployment, vendor monitoring and tracking for system related. Maintain IT application support technical documentation. Perform reporting and escalation procedures to senior levels. Help develop ideas for new enhanced features or products, by monitoring industry developments and trends. Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages. Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or similar qualification. Certification in OutSystems Associate Reactive Developer or equivalent would be an advantage. Proficient in front-end and back-end web development, including experience with web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL. Have experience working with the OutSystems platform or familiar with the low-code development environment. Have strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and identify creative solutions to complex technical challenges. Experienced as full stack developer would be a plus with the following skills: a. PHP, Laravel framework b. Angular c. MySQL, MSSQL d. JAVA e. .NET technology and Microsoft IIS f. SOA principles and technologies; SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, WSDL, micro-services architecture. g. Cloud services h. LINUX, Apache, Nginx with added advantage on experience with server configuration, database optimization and information security. Exposure to the following: a. Agile / SCRUM methodology b. Front / back-end architecture. c. Software build, integration, and test environments d. SaaS and/or enterprise applications e. Vendor management. Team-based version control systems (such as Git) Highly self-motivated, self-directed, a proactive approach and attentive to detail. Learning mindset: Should have a passion for learning new technologies and be willing to stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in software development.
