Job Title:

Information Technology Operations - Application Tech Support Practitioner

Helpdesk Support



Mandatory Skills (Must-have)



Application Support Experience

L3 support for business applications. Incident, Problem, and Change management (ITIL framework).

Technical Troubleshooting

SQL queries (debugging issues, data checks). Basic Java/.NET or scripting knowledge (to analyze logs, not to develop). Middleware & app servers (WebLogic, WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss).

Monitoring & Tools

Experience with monitoring/log analysis (Splunk, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Nagios, etc.). Ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, JIRA).

OS & Infra Knowledge

Windows/Linux commands (file system, services, connectivity checks). Networking basics (ports, firewalls, DNS, load balancers).

Shift Readiness

Willing to work 24x7 operations / on-call rotations if required.

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Communication skills to liaise between users, dev, and infra teams.

Secondary Skills (Good-to-have / value add)



Cloud Platforms

- Exposure to AWS, Azure, GCP (especially monitoring, troubleshooting, deployments).

Automation / Scripting

- Shell, Python, PowerShell for automating routine tasks.

DevOps/CI-CD knowledge

- Jenkins, Git, release pipelines.

Domain Knowledge

- Banking, Insurance, or the industry the client operates in.

Security Awareness

- Secure configuration, vulnerability patching basics.

Leadership & Coordination

- For senior practitioners, handling escalations and mentoring juniors.

In short:


Mandatory = Application support (SQL, logs, monitoring tools, ITIL, incident/problem/change handling).


Secondary = Cloud, automation, DevOps, domain expertise.



Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM3,670.42 - RM8,500.00 per month
