They will be responsible for providing technical support to FAEs and customers, as well as providing feedbacks to internal SW tool developers. The focused application areas for this position include all front-end functions of FPGA SW tool flows such as design entry, synthesis and map.
- Be a factory Applications HDL (VHDL & Verilog) expert, providing key support for product enablement projects and technical support issues
- Provide regular and necessary training on front-end flow topics to FAEs and other factory engineers
- Write technical notes for the assigned areasThis position requires knowledge and experience in FPGA front-end tool flows, including design entry, coding styles, and synthesis processes. Also preferred are simulation, place-and-route, static timing analysis and timing closure experience. Experience in Lattice FPGA design software tools is a plus.The following experience and skills are required for this position:
- BSEE or similar degree
- 5+ years of FPGA design tool experience (Eg. Radiant, Diamond, Quartus or Vivado, etc.)
- Strong understanding and experience in Verilog/VHDL language and design entry
- Strong understanding and experience in logic synthesis tools such as Synplify Pro is a plus
- Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal are required
- Must be able to work independently and also in a team environmentThe following experience and skills are a plus for this position:
- Experience in a variety of EDA sofware simulation tools for FPGA development including ModelSim/QuestaSim, VCS and/or Xcelium etc.
- Good understanding of FPGA architecture and applications
- Good understanding of static timing concepts and applying SDC constraints for timing closure
- Hands-on FPGA development experience, including verification
- Scripting languages such as TCL, Perl or Python
