Summary

We are seeking a committed and hands-on Aquaculture Executive to oversee our prawn pond business at the Rompin site. You will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, maintaining standards, and providing clear verbal and written reports in English to the Management team and Board of Directors (Japanese).

Key Responsibilities (Hybrid)

Monitor the day-to-day operations of our prawn ponds: water quality, feeding regimes, harvesting schedules, and maintenance of pond infrastructure. Ensure strict compliance with operational procedures, safety and bio-security protocols, and pond preparation guidelines (including parameters such as water salinity, depth, pond design, etc.). Prepare and submit regular reports in English (weekly, monthly, and ad hoc) to the Board of Directors, summarising pond performance, production data, issues/risks, corrective actions and forecasts. Work closely with onsite pond teams and remote management & partner teams to ensure smooth operations, timely harvesting and efficient production. Collect, analyse and document key performance metrics (e.g., stocking density, survival rate, yield, feed conversion ratios, water quality trends) and recommend improvements. Liaise remotely with partner teams overseas (which may require flexible hours) to update on operations, challenges, and business alignment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong command of English (both written and spoken) -- able to draft clear operational/business reports and communicate effectively with both local and overseas stakeholders. Practical understanding of pond-based aquaculture (pond preparation, water management, feeding/stocking practices) OR a strong willingness and ability to learn quickly and apply best practices. Self-motivated and capable of working onsite without supervision, while coordinating with remote teams. Good organisational skills, attention to detail, ability to monitor multiple processes and record accurate information.
