Architect Coordinator

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:



1. Design Coordination:



i. Coordinate and review all architectural drawings with structural, M&E, interior design (ID), and landscape drawings.

ii. Ensure that all designs comply with client requirements, local authorities' regulations, and building codes.

2. Drawings & Documentation Management:



i. Prepare, review, and update construction drawings, shop drawings, and as-built drawings.

ii. Maintain proper documentation and ensure the latest revisions are distributed to all relevant parties.

3. Site Supervision & Monitoring:



i. Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings and specifications.

ii. Resolve site queries and design-related issues (RFIs) promptly in coordination with consultants and contractors.

4. Stakeholder Coordination:



i. Liaise with architects, engineers, consultants, main contractors, and subcontractors for design and construction matters.

ii. Attend design coordination meetings and site progress meetings.

5. Quality Control & Specification Compliance:



i. Ensure that materials and workmanship meet the required design specifications and quality standards.

ii. Review mock-ups and material samples for approval.

6. Reporting & Handover:



i. Prepare architectural progress reports and maintain coordination records.

ii. Support project handover activities including defect inspection and rectification.

Job Requirements:



1. Education:



i. Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent.

ii. Registration with the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM) is an advantage.

2. Experience:



i. Minimum

3-5 years of relevant working experience

in building construction, preferably residential (landed or high-rise).

ii. Proven experience in design coordination between disciplines (architecture, structure, M&E).

iii. Experience in handling Qlassic requirements and documentation

3. Skills:



i. Proficient in

AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, BIM, and Microsoft Office/Project

.

ii. Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and M&E drawings.

iii. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

iv. Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.

Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
