ARCHITECT (BASED IN NILAI, NEGERI SEMBILAN)

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced and creative Architect to join our growing team, supporting large-scale construction and property development projects both locally and internationally. In this role, you will lead the transformation of architectural concepts into high-quality built form, working through all design phases and collaborating closely with consultants, contractors, internal teams and regulatory authorities. You will help uphold rigorous standards of budget, timeline, quality and sustainability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop architectural design briefs, concept plans and schematic layouts in line with project objectives and development control guidelines. Lead design development from concept through detailed design, coordinating with structural, M&E, landscape, interior and other discipline consultants. Prepare documentation for local authority submissions (e.g., planning approvals, building plan submissions) and ensure compliance with legal, quality and environmental requirements. Monitor and review drawings, specifications and construction details to ensure design intent is maintained and delivered on site. Liaise with internal teams (Project Management, Cost, Contract, Sales/Marketing) and external stakeholders (consultants, contractors, regulatory authorities) to align on design, budget, programme and quality deliverables. Uphold and promote the organization's commitment to quality management (e.g., ISO standards), sustainability, innovation and timely delivery. Provide guidance and review to more junior architectural staff and support any other design-related tasks as required.

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (or equivalent) from a recognized institution. Professional accreditation with Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (LAM) Part I & II or equivalent is preferred. Minimum 5 - 8 years of relevant architectural experience, preferably within a property developer or construction environment handling high-rise, mixed-use or large?scale developments. Strong competence in architecture/design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D modelling tools) and presentation skills. Excellent communication, coordination and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders and work within cross-discipline teams. Demonstrated understanding of building codes, regulatory submission process, contract documentation, and a clear sense of design quality, sustainability and cost awareness. Willing to travel as required (site visits, authority submission, coordination) and comfortable working in a dynamic project environment.

Contract length: 12-16 months

Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
