Job Description

System Maintenance: Manage and maintain AS400 (IBM iSeries) systems, including configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AS400-related issues, including MIMIX and other system components, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to financial services operations. Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and enhancements to ensure the environment is up-to-date and secure. Oversee data backup and recovery processes, ensuring data integrity and availability. Perform backup or restore of files/objects/libraries due to some urgent recovery. Monitor MIMIX replication jobs and ensure their proper functioning. Investigate and resolve any replication issues or performance bottlenecks to maintain high availability and disaster recovery. Able to setup a job/module environment for new application projects to roll out. Familiar with IBM WebSphere Messaging Queue (MQ) technology Familiar with the use of IBM Connect Direct file transfer Understand and manage the host (AS400) connect to storage Familiar on the use of virtual tape library (VTL) & physical tape library
